The Living Room!

The living room is done!! Well, mostly done. We (and by we I mean Jeremy) need to put up the quarter round, spray paint the vent cover that goes over the big hole in the floor and touch up paint. I really don't care though, we have a living room!! Which means we have a kitchen and Anders has a room, and so on!! Yea! This was a much bigger project than I had thought so we are going to wait until my next school break to tackle some other rooms. Until then, our living room looks great!

Anders!

Anders is already approaching seven months!! He is sitting by himself, rolling over, loves to jump, and drink out of a glass and eats anything we offer him. He also loves Sayla and watching her play! He lights up when she talks to him....it's a little heartbreaking! Here are some fun pictures I took off him this last week! Don't mind the drool, we are hoping those little teeth come in soon. I have a feeling he'll get a bunch all at once, poor little guy.

Sayla!

In this picture I said, "Sayla can you sit by your brother so I can take your picture?" This is where she decided to sit. Enough said.

So this is a face we see from Sayla quite a bit lately. We'll call it "the face" for the sake of the story. For example...

Mommy: "Sayla can you pick up your toy?"

Sayla: The face

or

Sayla: "Mommy can I have some candy for lunch?"

Mommy: "No."

Fancy Nancy

Sayla and I went to a Fancy Nancy tea party last Saturday at the library. We had so much fun. All the little girls wore their fanciest clothes, they all got diamond rings and crowns and learned a fancy dance. They drank punch and had cake. Sayla loves all things fancy.

Anders is taking off. Rolling over and ready to get into Sayla's toys. We are going to have to hide the barbie shoes, the last thing we need is Anders to start eating the toys. Sayla is getting a little better about the idea of him. We had a talk one day about how he is getting bigger and soon they will be friends. She wanted to know what day that would be happening. Anders loves watching Sayla and gets excited when she decides to give him a little attention.

A little bit stressfull!

The start of 2009 has already been a little overwhelming. So far it has looked like this. The heat and blower on our car stopped working, five hundred dollars later it's fixed. One week later, Jeremy was in a pretty bad car accident. A woman in front of him lost control and he had no option but to run into her. Her car was fine, ours is a total loss. So we are on the search for a new car. To add to the craziness, our pipes froze on one of our -50 degree night. Luckly with a hairdryer and some new pipe insulation problem solved! On top of an eventful couple weeks, I've started working toward my masters. I'm guessing it will be a long road and I'm sure it will take me at least four or five years. I'm trying to get into the swing of things and balance family, school and work. Needless to say, our house is a mess. On top of this, I'm going to be starting to sell jewelry. I have a party at the end of the month at our house and then four other parties booked for february. I'm excited and a little nervous. Since I'm not working as much, I thought this could be a good option. As you can see, 2009 has come in with a bang! We are hoping next month will not be as eventful!

A Long December

December was long and busy!! I felt like an official mother. Finish the baking, buy the gifts, get to all the parties, get the tree up. I feel kind of silly just thinking about it. Anyway, here are the pictures to prove it.

Here is Anders with Laurel. Family from California came to spend time with us! So sad for Sayla to say goodbye! (and the rest of us too)

Sayla ready to go to Lowes! If you don't know already, we are going through a Wizard of Oz stage at our house. Most days we refer to Sayla as Dorothy!

Anders was baptized, and we were so happy to have our family present to share the day with us!

Anders is such a sweetheart! He is such a good baby!! We just can't get enough of him!

We were pleased when Sayla announced she "always wanted" everything Santa gave her. She is enjoying her barbie and her Sleeping Beauty Horse that walks!

As we start the new year, I reflect on the struggles so many are dealing with. I am thankful for a year filled with so much joy in our family! I hope all of you have a wonderful 2009.
