Election Day Party!

Election Day!!! Always an important day, but the past several years has been a little bittersweet for me. I think of our time as a family knocking on doors, handing out fliers and the anxiety of election day. It's a day I will always miss my dad and all the passion and drive he had for doing what he believed in. I hope to instill in my own kids the same values he instilled in me. That we all have an important role as citizens of our community, state, country. I want them to pay attention, get involved, have an opinion but most of all, always wear matching outfits on election day!! All joking aside, yesterday I felt proud to cast my vote! Yesterday I felt my dad was proud too!

It's all about being empowered and knowing that we make a difference. Those adorable little people make a difference simply by being. And, as they grow, they will impact the world in ways we can only dream...

I feel the same way except I have no kids to pass it on to yet!

What You Will Find Here

This is a blog about me and my life. I write about the everything, and the nothing that consumes a stay-at-home mom of two. My monster is my one year old little boy, and his sister is my four year old daughter. You should know that I am not a writer, I'm not a speller, but I think I'm funny. I really get a kick out of myself sometimes. The truth is....I'm funnier in my head. So often, this blog is a bad attempt at humor and sarcasm, but mostly it's about the mundane, wonderful, boring, exciting, crabby, happy days we have together.
